As our clients workload continues to increase, we are looking to recruit a Senior Site Supervisor to use their experience and knowledge to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
To supervise and coordinate Site Supervisors and subcontractors ensuring they adhere to all Health & Safety Legislation in line with business requirements. To manage and maintain highly effective lines of communication at all levels within the organisation and with clients.
This role is split between our clients office based in Plymouth and on-site and will require an element of travelling to and from sites throughout the South West and South East of England. There can be the occasional overnight stays if defined by the programme of works.
Main Job tasks and responsibilities:
· Manage and supervise the day to day running of projects
· Prioritise work to meet project deadlines
· Report any non-conformances to Compliance Manager
· Liaise with OM - feedback, problems, time restraints
· Ensure all relevant paperwork is fully completed and signed
· Guarantee Health & Safety procedures are followed correctly in line with current legislation
· Maintain Health & Safety, quality, and environmental standards
· Interpret programmes, drawings, and technical specifications
· Issue updates and documentation to contractors and clients
· Organise and record events within the outlook calendar and manage accordingly
· Attend prestart and handover meetings
· Requesting and reviewing contractor RAMS
· Effectively communicate at all levels within the organisation and liaising with clients and contractors
· Ordering and scheduling delivery of materials to site
· To adapt and overcome problems and issues that may arise during projects to ensure quality standards are maintained and timescales are met
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Computer literate
· Adaptability and the proficiencies to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
· CSCS (Preferably black card)
· First Aid (desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate)
· Full UK driving license
· Previous experience in a similar role and preferably a Level 4 or above in construction management or equivalent
· Good knowledge of Health Safety legislation
· A full DBS check will be conducted as part of the company induction
