A well-established secondary school in Flintshire is seeking an inspiring and motivated English Teacher to cover a full-time teaching position for the summer term. Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support a broad range of learners.
• Mark, assess, and track pupil progress in line with school policies.
• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and enrichment activities.
• Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
• Manage behaviour according to school policy and maintain clear expectations.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students when required.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English.
• Effective behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
