Head Chef (Care Home)

Hours: Full-time (5 days per week, 07:00-17:00) 

Salary: £44,000 

We are looking for a Head Chef for our client’s Care Home to lead their kitchen team in providing delicious and nutritious meals for residents. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a Care Home or professional kitchen and be capable of menu planning for specialist diets.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Chef or Head Chef in a professional kitchen, preferably a Care Home or similar setting
• Knowledge of menu planning for specialist diets
• Experience in leading and motivating a team
• Budget and stock management skills
• Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership desirable but not essential
• Texture Modification experience

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and oversee the production of meals for elderly residents
• Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of kitchen staff
• Manage budget, stock, and kitchen operations efficiently
• Engage and understand the dietary and individual needs of elderly residents
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and dietary requirements
