Lead Commissioning Engineer

Responsible to: Area Commissioning Manager
Contract: 12 months
Hours: 45 per week

What you'll be doing:
• Lead commissioning activities on water supply projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant system handovers.
• Manage and coordinate testing procedures (e.g. pressure, function, FAT/SAT) across treatment and distribution systems.
• Guide and support a team of Commissioning Engineers, ensuring delivery of key milestones.
• Collaborate with design, construction, and operational teams for smooth project transition.
• Develop and review commissioning plans, schedules, and reports in line with industry and regulatory standards.

What you'll need:
• 3+ years' experience in a similar commissioning role, ideally in the water or utilities sector.
• Proven electrical/ICA commissioning expertise and experience with SCADA/control systems.
• Strong knowledge of clean water treatment processes, fault-finding, and operational parameters.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and industry compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Relevant engineering qualification and knowledge of key stakeholders (e.g. DWI, OFWAT, EA).
