Finance Business Partner

A Local Authority in East Midlands are looking to appoint a talented Finance Business Partner on an Interim basis. The Local Authority are working with Spencer Clarke Group to find a successful candidate.

What's on offer:

Rates: £350 - £500 per day, inside IR35.*Negotiable based on experience

Hybrid Working - 2 days p/week in office
Contract type: Contract (37 hrs a week)
Hours: 09:00 -17:00

About the role:

Based in the East Midlands (hybrid):

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a team of Finance Officers whilst providing financial advice and guidance for a range of services across the council supporting key financial processes.

Responsibilities:

To provide advice in the context of the Corporate Strategic Plan and Medium -Term Financial Plan, ensuring due diligence and accuracy of all financial analysis.
To ensure that relevant and effective budget management is in place, with regard to the services being supported.
To produce final accounts, budgets and financial forecast monitoring in line with approved timetables and reporting arrangements.

About you:
You will have the following experience:

CCAB or CIMA qualification and membership
Comprehensive understanding of local and/or central government and how they work; financial policy, funding arrangements and accounting treatments within the local government sector.
Excellent leadership and management skills
