Management Accountant

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our client's finance team. This role plays a key part in producing accurate and timely financial information, supporting the Financial Control Manager and wider business operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare the Trial Balance with supporting analysis and commentary.

* Complete balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns.

* Post and reconcile intercompany balances and salary journals.

* Manage prepayments, accruals, and fixed asset registers.

* Support month-end, year-end, and audit processes.

* Run monthly stock reports and analyse stock usage.

* Produce bank reconciliations and explain key cash movements.

* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ESG reporting.

* Drive continuous improvement in finance processes.

Skills & Experience

* Confident in independently preparing a full Trial Balance.

* Experience with ERP systems and journal postings.

* Strong understanding of VAT returns and intercompany accounting.

* Familiar with audit preparation and year-end processes.

* Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

* Degree in Accounting or AAT qualified.

* Part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
