Multi-skilled Engineer - Cambridgeshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, double days 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00, no nights or weekends

I'm currently recruiting for a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire. This role is ideal for someone with both mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys working across a variety of plant and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Planned maintenance and fault finding (mechanical & electrical)
* Installing, commissioning, and improving plant and equipment
* Maintaining plant rooms and water treatment systems (where trained)
* Minimising downtime and contributing to continuous improvement projects
* Ensuring work is safe and compliant with legal, environmental, and company standards
* Supporting line changeovers and set-ups

Essential Skills:

* PPM, mechanical & electrical fault finding
* Line changeovers & belt repairs
* Food/packaging/FMCG experience
* Relevant engineering qualification

Desirable Skills:

* Welding (TIG) and basic fabrication
* Hydraulic, boiler, refrigeration, and packaging equipment knowledge
* Scissor lift licence, SAP experience
