An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and adaptable Audio-Visual Engineer to join a growing AV solutions provider. This is a dynamic role combining installation, service, and support across commercial and secure government environments. The position offers variety, autonomy, and scope for development, with the potential to progress into team leadership or specialist technical areas such as system programming and commissioning.

This field-based role requires someone who is flexible, self-motivated, and professional when dealing with clients on-site. Candidates must be eligible to obtain the highest level of UK security clearance due to sensitive project environments.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out AV system installations and servicing to a high professional standard.

*

Provide technical input and advice on AV system improvements and delivery methods.

*

Support internal teams with engineering knowledge and practical guidance.

*

Deliver both on-site and remote support to customers and colleagues.

*

Assist in establishing and improving engineering processes and standards.

*

Conduct fault diagnosis and customer-focused issue resolution independently.

*

Maintain clear communication with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

*

Provide cover for office-based service duties including call handling and issue triage.

*

Contribute to system testing, equipment preparation, and warehouse duties as required.

*

Supervise junior engineers where appropriate and offer mentoring/support.

*

Undertake national and international travel for installation and support works.

*

Manage overnight stays as needed, with all expenses covered by the company.

*

Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and customer decision-making on-site.

*

Maintain high standards of personal presentation, professionalism, and site conduct.

*

Represent the company with a positive, friendly, and can-do attitude.

*

Ensure vehicles, tools, and materials are used responsibly and efficiently.

*

Participate in regular performance reviews and training opportunities.

*

Adhere to company processes and standards as outlined in internal documentation.

*

Work closely with operations staff to support service delivery and logistics.

*

Take part in continuous learning and development sponsored by the company.

Skills & Experience

*

Proven experience in AV installation and servicing in commercial environments.

*

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

*

Excellent customer-facing communication and professional conduct.

*

Ability to interpret system diagrams, technical documents, and installation briefs.

*

Willingness to travel and stay away from home where required.

*

Must be eligible to obtain high-level government security clearance.

*

Full UK driving licence required.
