The client is a leading food manufacturing business in the Spalding area, and due to a restructuring on the site, they are looking for a Customer Technical Manager to join their Technical team, reporting directly into the Head of Technical.

This role would suit someone who has Technical leadership experience within a Chilled Food Manufacturer, with a proven track record of delivery. You will be working closely with both customers and suppliers, as well as the internal teams, so strong communication skills are a must.

The Role:

* Lead & manage all elements of internal and external audits.

* Provide comprehensive up to date audit data

* Train and mentor, the internal audit team and manage these audits to ensure they are completed in full and on time according to the schedule.

* To provide a class leading account management service to our customers and the business. To build a trusted relationship with our customers.

* Cement the technical-commercial relationship internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1. To organise, lead, conduct, follow up, liaise with the business, implement corrective actions based on the 5 Whys technique of root cause analysis and close all customer and external audits off in a timely manner.

2. Reporting non-compliances to senior management in a timely manner to ensure that food safety, quality, legality, and breaches of authenticity in our business is either removed or reduced to an acceptable level.

3. Provide regular written summaries and conclusions including the follow up of non conformances from visits and audits.

4. Own and manage the internal audit programme for the business using the trained internal audit team.

5. Be the primary contact for all technical matters for a selection of customers. Build strong customer relationships, gaining their trust and confidence.

* Strong communication skills both in person and via other means, ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English.

* Be robust and resilient with a can-do attitude.

* Be able to self-manage time effectively within a role which requires repetitive tasks.

* Be able to use own initiative.
