Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Bilston Salary: £40,000+ per annum plus overtime and benefits

Are you an experienced electrical engineer looking to join a cutting-edge manufacturing facility? This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a newly built, highly automated, state-of-the-art net-zero factory producing high-volume building products.

We are seeking skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineers to play a critical role in maintaining the performance and success of this facility, setting new standards in British manufacturing and environmental best practices.

Role Overview

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for both proactive and reactive electrical maintenance activities, ensuring the plant operates efficiently and effectively with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of the site's strategic electrical maintenance plan.

Utilize the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage planned electrical maintenance and stock control.

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), electrical inspections, servicing, and repairs.

Respond to electrical breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance as needed.

Record maintenance activities and data accurately to maintain compliance and performance tracking.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance through improved electrical systems and practices.

What's Required:

In-depth understanding of current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation related to electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to fault-find and implement electrical solutions independently.

Proficiency in using IT systems and maintenance management software.

Willingness to work flexible hours with the opportunity for overtime.

Desirable Experience:

Experience in a preventative electrical maintenance environment.

Hands-on experience maintaining large-scale electrical systems and equipment, including:

Fault diagnosis and repair of electrical machinery.

Rewiring and modifying electrical circuits.

Siemens PLC fault finding and programming.

Inverter/drive configuration and maintenance.

Conveyor system electrical maintenance.

Condition monitoring of electrical components and systems.

Qualifications:

Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical Maintenance.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (desirable).

Experience with PLC systems and inverter drives.
