Job Description: As a Production Planner, you will play a vital role in coordinating production schedules, managing inventory levels, and optimising resource utilisation to meet production targets. We're looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while maximising efficiency and minimising costs.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to forecast demand and plan production accordingly.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components.
- Analyse production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to ensure equipment reliability and product quality standards are met.
- Provide regular updates on production progress, inventory status, and any potential issues to management.
- Continuously evaluate production processes and recommend strategies to optimise resource utilisation and improve productivity.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements at all times.
- Support cross-functional teams and participate in meetings to address production-related challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in production planning and manufacturing.
