iMultiply is partnering with a leading professional services group in order to recruit an Assistant Audit Manager for its Glasgow team.
The Opportunity
This is a key role supporting Managers in the delivery of high-quality audit services across a diverse client base.
You will be a hands-on member of the audit team, contributing to the planning, fieldwork and completion stages of audit engagements. Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and completion of audit assignments in accordance with internal procedures, client expectations, and budget requirements
- Take ownership of audit fieldwork, working collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
- Identify and manage more complex audit areas with appropriate guidance from senior colleagues
- Actively participate in client meetings, including planning and clearance meetings, with input into preparation and query resolution
- Review draft financial statements and supporting documentation, issue to clients, and address any feedback or queries
- Serve as a key point of contact on-site for clients during fieldwork, managing queries and identifying potential additional service opportunities
- Delegate work effectively to junior team members while maintaining overall accountability for delivery
- Understand key commercial audit metrics including recoveries, work in progress (WIP), scope management, and fee preparation
- Perform WIP analysis and support the invoicing process for assigned engagements
The Person
- ACCA, ICAS or equivalent accountancy qualification
- Prior experience in a similar audit role within a professional services firm
- Proven experience in client-facing environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written
- High level of initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
