Salary: £40000 - £55000/annum

Our client, a well-established engineering and design consultancy, is looking to appoint a qualified Architect to join their Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Role

You will play a key part in delivering projects across a range of sectors, including healthcare and education, working closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. The position requires involvement throughout the full project lifecycle , from early concept design through to technical delivery and completion.

Key responsibilities include:

*

Holding RIBA Part 3 qualification with current ARB registration.

*

Demonstrating strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and compliance standards.

*

Contributing to projects of varying size and complexity, taking ownership of defined work packages or project elements while remaining mindful of budgets.

*

Developing, detailing, and resolving technical design solutions.

*

Coordinating effectively with consultants, client teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.

*

Applying sound knowledge of UK construction methods, building systems, and regulatory frameworks.

*

Supporting and mentoring Part 1 and Part 2 architectural assistants, reviewing work and encouraging high design standards.

*

Collaborating with senior team members and studio leadership to strengthen the studio's regional presence and growth.

*

Assisting with day-to-day studio operations and contributing positively to the company's design culture.

*

Using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD confidently (essential), with additional experience in BIM coordination, model federation, clash detection, and interface management being advantageous.
