Salary: £102 - £110 per day

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for your next rewarding role in education? Do you have a background in supporting children and young people with additional needs such as autism, ADHD or SEMH? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are working with a specialist SEN school in Leeds that caters for pupils aged 5–16 with a wide range of special educational needs and complex learning difficulties. The school is seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to continue your career in special education, working with a skilled staff team who are passionate about improving the lives of children with additional needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with tailored learning activities

  • Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies

  • Encouraging independence, communication and confidence in learning

  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to deliver EHCP targets

  • Helping create a safe, structured and nurturing environment for all pupils

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Behaviour Mentor in a SEN or mainstream setting

  • Understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs

  • Resilience, patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Team player with excellent communication skills

  • Full-time availability during term-time

Ideal Backgrounds:
  • SEN School / Alternative Provision experience

  • Learning Mentor or Behaviour Support roles
