We are working with a specialist SEN school in Leeds that caters for pupils aged 5–16 with a wide range of special educational needs and complex learning difficulties. The school is seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.

What You’ll Be Doing: -
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with tailored learning activities

Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies

Encouraging independence, communication and confidence in learning

Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to deliver EHCP targets

Helping create a safe, structured and nurturing environment for all pupils
What We’re Looking For: -
Experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Behaviour Mentor in a SEN or mainstream setting

Understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs

Resilience, patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Team player with excellent communication skills

Full-time availability during term-time

Ideal Backgrounds: -
SEN School / Alternative Provision experience
