Location: Manchester
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm)

The Role
Due to continued growth, we have an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Asbestos Litigation Team in Manchester. The successful candidate will work closely with a Partner and other fee earners, assisting with the management of cases on behalf of victims of asbestos-related diseases. This will include involvement in both pre-litigated and litigated matters from start to finish.

The team is known for combining technical legal knowledge with a compassionate, client-focused approach, ensuring cases are handled with professionalism, dedication, and care.
This role is ideal for a Law Graduate / LPC Graduate with strong academics who is seeking to develop their legal career, or an experienced paralegal with a background in personal injury.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide proactive support to the Partner and fee earners within the department.
- Draft legal documents, including witness statements and schedules of loss.
- Liaise with counsel, medical experts, and other professionals.
- Communicate with clients with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Understand client requirements and manage matters in line with service standards and best practice.
- Assist with case progression, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate case management records and utilise relevant software effectively.
- Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience in industrial disease or personal injury within a legal environment (preferred).
- Strong academic qualifications in Law.
- Ability to build relationships with clients, families, witnesses, counsel, and experts.
- Empathy, professionalism, and a client-focused approach to service delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a confident telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads under pressure.
- Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
