Primary Teacher – Long-Term to Permanent (Reception/Year 1 Mixed Class)

We’re currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Winchester. This is a full-time, long-term temporary position starting after October half term and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Role Details:

• Location: Winchester
• Start Date: After October Half Term onwards.
• Working Pattern: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
• Class: Mixed Reception / Year 1
• Salary: £130 to £220.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality phonics sessions using the Little Wandle scheme
• Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN needs, including SEMH and GLD
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages progress and engagement

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experienced in EYFS and KS1 teaching
• Confident in managing and supporting SEN pupils within a mainstream setting
• Familiarity with Little Wandle or similar phonics schemes (training available)
• Passionate about creating inclusive and inspiring learning experiences
