Maths NQT

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a small Trafford based secondary school for a Mathematics NQT. The role is a full time, permanent position starting September 2021.

The school is Ofsted 'Good', priding itself on a strong relationship between staff and students. Located in the heart of Old Trafford, the school is easily accessible via public or private transport, with onsite parking provided. The school invest heavily in the learning and development of all staff, offering multiple training days each year where staff can carry out CPD courses to help enhance their professional development.

The role will entail teaching a full Mathematics timetable in line with the national curriculum, you will be expected to teach up the GCSE level. The school are generally high achieving within mathematics, but a real emphasis is being placed on closing the attainment gap over the 21/22 academic year. You will also be expected with planning and delivery of intervention schemes to help reduce the attainment gap.

The ideal candidate will be a Mathematics NQT with experience teaching up to the GCSE level, a passion for the subject and eagerness to teach is essential. The school has a strict behavioural policy, so you will be expected to maintain this in your own lessons, strong classroom management skills would also be beneficial.
