P2P/Accounts Payable Specialist (Payments) | Leicester | Hybrid (3 days in the office after training) | Up to £27,000 + Study Support | Permanent

Macildowie are excited to be working again with this trusted client based in Leicester City Centre to recruit a P2P Specialist to join their finance team due to an internal promotion.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively with stakeholders, and playing a key role in a busy payables function. Based in Leicester city centre, this hybrid role offers 3 days per week in the office after training and the chance to join a supportive team of like-minded professionals.

Working in a team of 3 and reporting into the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for ensuring payments are prepared and processed accurately and on time, while also supporting wider transactional finance activity.

The role will include:

• Preparing and making BACS payments
• Completing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Processing invoices accurately and efficiently
• Posting journals
• Chasing payment authorisations and keeping processes moving
• Liaising confidently with internal stakeholders
• Taking ownership of your workload and maintaining strong attention to detail

• Previous experience in accounts payable, P2P or transactional finance
• Confidence preparing payments and working with financial controls
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders effectively
• Someone proactive, organised and happy to take ownership of their role
