TRANSPORT CLERK

Pertemps Milton Keynes branch is seeking an experienced Transport Clerk to join our client in Milton Keynes on a temp to perm basis.

The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and personable individual with a background in transport operations to support the smooth running of a fast-paced transport department.

Your role will entail:

Welcome drivers with a friendly and professional approach
Issue vehicle keys and ensure all relevant paperwork (delivery schedules, service instructions) is accurate and complete
Monitor vehicle tracking and promptly report any delays or issues to senior staff
Maintain clear communication and build strong relationships with drivers
Conduct thorough driver debriefs to review journey safety and efficiency
Manage tachograph data and monitor infringements
Shift Details

Shift: Monday - Friday
Hours: 1000 - 1900
Salary: £29,250pa / £12.50ph

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Previous experience in a transport or logistics environment
Strong understanding of transport operations and compliance
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident communication and problem-solving abilitiesYour hands-on experience will be key to navigating the challenges of a busy transport desk and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
