Lecturer in Early Years & Teaching Assistant Education

  • Job Type: Temporary (Term time only)
  • Working Hours: Tuesday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP until Friday, 22nd May

We are currently seeking a temporary Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching in Early Years and Teaching Assistant Education from Level 1 to Level 3, including T Levels. This role is crucial in ensuring that students develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for progression into employment, apprenticeships, or higher education.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Early Years and Teaching Assistant qualifications (Level 1–3 and T Levels).
  • Design learning activities that develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills aligned to sector standards.
  • Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback to support progress and achievement.
  • Monitor learner progress and implement targeted support to ensure all students, including disadvantaged learners, achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to high-quality work placement and industry placement experiences in line with T Level requirements.
  • Embed safeguarding, Prevent, fundamental British values, and digital skills within the curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment in line with college and awarding body requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and support teams to enhance the student experience.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement to meet Ofsted and sector expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in teaching Early Years and Teaching Assistant programs.
  • Strong understanding of the curriculum and sector standards from Level 1 to Level 3, including T Levels.
  • Ability to assess and provide feedback effectively.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to teach across health programs would be beneficial.
