A Production Engineer to join a manufacturing business in Bristol. You will drive operational excellence across our production operations. Description

Develop and refine production processes, work instructions, and tooling specifications
Drive long-term improvement strategies to enhance productivity and quality
Support smooth introduction of new products from design into manufacturing
Utilise Creo to update and optimise technical drawings, 3D models, and assemblies
Manage design changes and product data using Windchill PLM systems
Coach operators and technicians on best practices, new procedures, and equipment use
Conduct ergonomic assessments and design tools to improve workplace safety and efficiency
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimise workflow and reduce waste
Lead investigations into production issues using structured root cause analysis methods
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and drive cost reductionsProfile

A successful Production Engineer should have:

A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field.
Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of production processes and quality standards.
Proficiency in using engineering and manufacturing software tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
An understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficient in Creo 3D CAD software
Experience with Windchill or similar Product Lifecycle Management systems
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and design for manufacture (DFM)
Demonstrated success in delivering process improvements and cost reductions
Ability to coach, mentor, and influence operators and technicians
Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
Knowledge of ergonomics and practical application in manufacturing environmentsDesirable Skills:

Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and production documentation
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
Experience in coffee machine or similar consumer appliance sector
