They are now seeking a Commercial lead to join the team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Take overall responsibility for project gross margin, aiming to increase it from the agreed budget.

Create and manage project budgets from contracts or schedules agreed with the sales team, ready for sign-off by senior management.

Own and populate the monthly Project Profitability Report (PPR), including work in progress figures, revenue projections, and documented strategies to increase gross profit margins.

Submit accurate and timely monthly valuations to clients and formulate mid-month valuations for internal monitoring.

Create and submit monthly cash flow forecasts to clients for the upcoming quarter.

Ensure positive cash flow on all projects from Day 1.

Manage and ensure all project variations are captured and agreed with the client to maximise gross profit opportunities.

Communicate with the Project Buyer regarding contra charges to be passed on to the supply chain.

Manage project transactions and hold ultimate responsibility for cash outgoings within the business unit, including final approval for all project-related payments.

Constantly seek opportunities to increase the pool of available subcontractors, in collaboration with the Supply Chain team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.

Hardworking, persistent, and dependable nature.

Adaptable, positive, determined, competitive, and a strong team player.

Well-organised and efficient with a keen eye for detail.

Strong communication skills and excellent timekeeping.
