PHP Developer sought by vibrant software house based in Brighton. You will become a vital member of a team playing a crucial role in providing application support to core business systems. The work will focus on addressing service incidents and system change requests.

Responsibilities

• Write “clean”, well-designed code
• Work to specifications
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices
• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools where necessary
• Work on own initiative to communicate best practice advice to senior team members

Requirements

• Proven software development experience in PHP (5.6->8.1) – minimum 2 years
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, version control tools and of developing web services
• Ability to project manage.
• Demonstration of effective problem-solving
• Experience with GitHub

Desirable:

• Golang
• Docker
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies (GCP)
