This is a hands-on AP position where you'll take responsibility for the full purchase ledger cycle. No two days are the same, and you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth supplier relationships and accurate payment processing.

Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Processing high-volume invoices and managing the full AP workflow
  • Handling multi-currency payments across UK and Europe
  • Matching invoices to Po's and resolving discrepancies with suppliers & internal teams
  • Preparing weekly/monthly payment runs, including BACS schedules and reconciliations
  • Managing supplier queries and completing regular statement reconciliations
  • Maintaining supplier master data with strict fraud-prevention controls
  • Supporting month-end AP tasks, reporting, and audit requirements
  • Getting involved in continuous improvement as the finance function grows

Profile

The successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

  • Strong experience within Accounts Payable
  • Confidence working with multi-currency transactions (desirable)
  • ERP system knowledge desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a small, supportive team
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, comfortable with change
  • Clear, professional communication skills when dealing with suppliers and colleagues
