The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Medical Negligence Solicitor to join a well-established and growing team. This is an excellent role for a Solicitor looking to progress their career while working on complex, high-quality matters within a supportive and collegiate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing medical negligence cases from initial instruction through to post-settlement
  • Screening new enquiries and assessing prospects of success
  • Reviewing medical records, preparing chronologies and gathering evidence
  • Instructing counsel and medical experts
  • Advising clients on funding options, risk and case strategy
  • Supporting senior colleagues and providing cover where required
  • Advising on related matters including complaints, inquests and access to medical records
  • Delivering a sensitive and professional service to vulnerable clients, including elderly and disabled individuals

Abot You

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Approximately 2+ years' PQE in Medical Negligence
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage matters with a good level of autonomy
  • Strong client care, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Well organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative team player who maintains high professional and ethical standards
