Finance Lead - Project Support (Part-Time, 18 Hours per Week)

Salary: £32,205 - £36,084 per annum (pro rata)

Casanovas Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a Finance Lead to support an exciting and transformative project as part of its development and leadership team. This part-time position offers the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity, planning and governance of a major strategic initiative whilst being part of a wider organisation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

* Financial Planning & Costing: Lead project costing, ROI analysis, and scenario modelling. Ensure capital and revenue expenditure aligns with strategic project objectives.

* Management Accounting: Oversee operational budget planning and monitoring. Produce regular financial reports, variance analysis and performance insights to support informed decision-making.

* Compliance & Audit: Coordinate audit preparation and submissions. Ensure full compliance with funding conditions, financial standards and audit requirements.

* Risk & Mitigation: Review project-related risks and provide information required for insurance and risk mitigation planning. Adhere to the Group's Risk Management Policy and report any emerging risks.

* Undertake additional duties aligned with the nature and responsibility of the role.

* As part of the wider Group, the role may occasionally provide support across other Group organisations.

Essential Qualifications

* Good general education, including Level 2 English and Maths.

* NVQ Level 3/4 AAT or equivalent financial qualification.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

* Strong understanding of financial processes (balancing accounts, double-entry, cashbook, purchase ledger).

* Excellent accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills.

* High-level spreadsheet proficiency and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Experience

* Experience working in a financial role.

* Ability to prioritise workloads and solve problems effectively.

* Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders professionally.

* (Desirable) Experience within an educational or public sector environment.

* Organised, methodical and flexible approach.

* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

* Strong team player with a positive attitude.
