School Caretaker - Location: Slough

Join a dedicated team as a School Caretaker, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, proactive, and takes pride in their work.
Day-to-day of the role: - Ensure the school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
- Open and secure the school premises at the beginning and end of the day.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
- Support with setting up rooms for school events and activities.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers when needed.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and health & safety concerns.
- Assist with deliveries and general caretaking duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably in a school or similar setting.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and health & safety procedures.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A flexible, positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Enhanced DBS check will be required (can be arranged upon appointment).
