Science Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Brent - ASAP Start - Full-Time

Are you a Science graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school before pursuing a career in teaching?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with welcoming secondary schools in Brent seeking a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity to support students in science lessons while developing valuable classroom experience.

As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging science lessons while helping students stay focused and confident in their learning.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons

• Assisting the teacher with classroom activities and practical experiments

• Providing one-to-one or small group support to students who need extra help

• Helping prepare learning materials and lab equipment

• Encouraging student engagement and participation in lessons

• Supporting behaviour management within the classroom

• Following safeguarding procedures at all times

• A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related)

• Interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A proactive and supportive approach to working with students

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

• Full-time role - Monday to Friday (term-time only)

• Supportive secondary school environment in Brent
