Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Daily Rate: £162.30 - £223.62 (dependent on experience and pay scale)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Derby to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher. This full-time role is available from September 2025 and will run for the academic year, with the potential for extension or a permanent position.

About the Role:

As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and support young learners. You will play a key role in shaping children's early education and development, while working collaboratively with a supportive staff team.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and teach creative, engaging lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil progress

Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and the wider school community

Take part in planning, assessments, and whole-school events

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Recent experience teaching in a KS1 setting

Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early learning goals

Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
