Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Stone, Eccleshall & Tutbury, Staffordshire
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum + Bonus
We are seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential service across the Staffordshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a passion for delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the home, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and delivering exceptional care to young people. You will play a key role in driving occupancy, maintaining high Ofsted ratings, and leading a motivated team.
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
On-call duties required
Occasional overnight cover as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
- Drive and maintain occupancy levels
- Lead, develop, and supervise staff to deliver outstanding care
- Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections
- Monitor and improve service performance through audits and KPIs
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders, families, and external professionals
Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Bonus Structure
Up to 10% of annual salary, reviewed and paid quarterly:
- 25% based on achieving 95% occupancy
- 25% based on achieving Ofsted rating of Good or above
- 50% based on KPI performance including audits, supervisions, and overall service quality
