Coventry (Hybrid - 3 days onsite) £55,000 - £60,000 + excellent benefits

We're supporting a major UK engineering programme within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. This is an opportunity to join a growing multidisciplinary team working on complex systems that require rigorous safety assurance across the full engineering lifecycle. You'll play a key role in ensuring that product safety is embedded from concept through to delivery, working alongside systems, design, and project teams in a collaborative development environment.

• Deliver product safety activities across complex engineering systems throughout the lifecycle
• Support hazard identification, analysis, and risk management activities
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of safety requirements and hazard logs
• Produce high-quality safety documentation and technical reports
• Ensure alignment with the organisation's Safety Management System and governance processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate safety into design and development
• Support continuous improvement of safety processes and methodologies
• Work flexibly across evolving project requirements in a dynamic programme environment

• Experience in Product Safety / Safety Engineering within a regulated industry
• Understanding of systems engineering and engineering lifecycle processes
• Experience with:
  • Hazard analysis techniques
  • Safety requirements management
  • Safety case / assurance documentation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical reports
• Degree qualified in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in high-integrity sectors (e.g. defence, aerospace, nuclear, rail) is highly desirable

You'll join a specialist safety engineering function supporting the delivery of complex, safety-critical systems. The team works closely with broader engineering disciplines to ensure safety is fully integrated into system design and delivery.
