A well-established and values-driven care provider is seeking a Registered Manager for a brand-new children's residential home based in Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new service from the ground up, delivering high-quality care for children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Deliver personalised, outcome-focused care that supports stability and development
  • Ensure the home offers access to education, health services, and emotional wellbeing support
  • Recruit, supervise, and develop a skilled and dedicated staff team
  • Lead Ofsted inspections and ensure regulatory compliance, including Reg 44 and 45 reports
  • Manage risk, safeguarding, and quality assurance processes across the service
  • Monitor performance through audits, supervisions, and development plans
  • Develop strong working relationships with local authorities, families, and professionals
  • Support with on-call duties and provide cover where necessary
  • Requirements:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Deputy or Registered Manager role within a children’s residential setting
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, relevant legislation, and the Ofsted inspection framework
  • Experience with new service setup or Ofsted registration (desirable)
