I am working with an award-winning international logistics provider who are seeking a new Customs Clearance Coordinator, located in their Ipswich office.

Salary - up to £28,000 DOE

Key duties & Responsibilities:

As a Customs Clearance Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role within our Customs department, ensuring all documentation and procedures are handled efficiently and compliantly. Your key responsibilities will include:

Preparing and processing import and export customs declarations via CDS and CHIEF
Signing customs documentation under Power of Attorney on behalf of clients
Extracting and managing data from commercial invoices and packing lists
Liaising with clients and internal departments to obtain and validate clearance information
Classifying goods and applying relevant customs codes and licences
Managing import/export documentation such as T-documents, EUR1s, Certificates of Origin, CHEDs, etc.
Engaging with HMRC, Port Health, and other relevant authorities as required
Ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer serviceAbout you:

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong administrative, numerical, and analytical capabilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems
Ability to work independently and within a team, managing workloads effectively
Previous experience in an operational customs environment
Knowledge of CHIEF, CDS, NCTS, NES, and other customs systems
Familiarity with HMRC import/export regulations and documentation
A-Level/Degree qualification or relevant industry certifications
Understanding of ETSF warehouse processes
Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
