We're representing a well-established business who are looking for a Transport Manager to take charge of their transport operations across multiple sites. This isn't just about ticking boxes, it's about leading people, improving processes, and making sure the operation runs as smoothly as a freshly serviced HGV.

What's the role all about?You'll be:

Running the daily transport operations, keeping people, vehicles, and customers safe and satisfied
Acting as the named Transport Manager for the company's Operator Licence (yes, the serious bit)
Driving a proactive safety culture, where risk prevention is your middle name
Leading, coaching, and developing teams across multiple sites, making inclusion and respect more than just buzzwords
Managing budgets, resources, and productivity, using data and KPIs to deliver continuous improvement
Working hand-in-hand with Sales, Production, and Customer Service to make sure transport supports wider business goalsWhat you'll need to bring to the table:
A Transport Manager CPC
Experience of managing transport operations across multiple sites
Familiarity with SHEQ standards and risk management practices
Budget management experience, with proven ability to use KPIs for performance and improvement
Strong leadership skills, with experience working in unionised environments
Excellent communication and people skills, you'll be as comfortable with drivers as you are in the boardroomNice to Have (but not deal-breakers):

NEBOSH or ADR qualifications (training support available if not in place)
Knowledge of the industrial gases sector or similar complex logistics operations
