The OpportunityNigel Wright are delighted to have partnered with a long standing not-for-profit client who are based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our client have embarked on a multi-year global project, involving a number of partners delivering Tech for Good.This project will bring a technology solution across borders, which will impact the lives of thousands of people. In order to deliver this project, in conjunction with their partners and collaborators, they require a Senior Project Manager on a two year fixed term contract. This role would help oversee the project and be responsible for tracking and delivering to key milestones and engaging the relevant key stakeholders. Role: Senior Project ManagerLocation: Hybrid working - 2/3 days a week in Newcastle with some European travel on occasionDuration: 2 year initial fixed term contract (possibility of extension) Start date: ASAP Salary: c. £50-55,000 The Role???????
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for the organisations role within the global project, understanding dependencies 
  • Incorporate actions and decisions from project groups 
  • Maintain strong relationships with all of the project stakeholders to ensure that all appropriate are updated and involved throughout the project and their knowledge and experience are utilised. 
  • Oversee the project manager and co-ordinator resource to track progress, mitigate risks and ensure milestones and budgets are met. 
  • Update the SLT on project status regularly 
  • Managing project risks in the organisations risk register
Person Specification
  • Proven project manager who has demonstrable experience in leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders 
  • Highly-organised 
  • Proactive and work on their own initiative 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience managing budgets
