Summary of the Design Engineer

Salary: £45,000 per annum
Location:  Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:15am - 4:45pm, Fridays 8:15am - 1:45pm

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer

Complete machine design of rotating equipment and components.
Review sketches, descriptions and specifications.
Create 3D and 2D models and assemblies.
Bills of materials.
Conduct site visits where necessary.
Provide technical assistance to ensure design requirements are met.
Requirements for a successful Design Engineer

Qualified HNC/HND in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Experience in mechanical rotating equipment & design.
Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
Proficiency with Solidworks and 2D/3D CAD modelling and draughting. 
Bills of materials experience. 
Experience with engineering calculations.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
