DENSO Marston are looking to appoint a highly motivated experienced NPI Project Engineer to join a busy production engineering team. The role is integral within the business to ensure the strong management of NPI Projects.  Candidates should preferably have a good background within project engineering and must be resilient and resourceful in ensuring that customer business requirements and technical specifications are met.Working Hours / BenefitsMon-Thurs 8.30am – 5pm  Fri - 8.30am- 1.30pm25 days per year + statutory bank holidaysStakeholder pension scheme (max 10% employer contribution) including Life assurance x 4 salary andPermanent Health Insurance (PHI) cover following qualifying periodFree on-site parkingAccess to multiple discounts from major retailersReward and Recognition Systems in placeKey Responsibilities
  • Lead NPI projects from concept through to introduction into production.
  • Design, development, and commissioning of online tooling.
  • Management of NPI projects from a cost, quality, and time perspective.
  • Monitoring of project risks and defining recovery plans for issues that arise.
  • Facilitate functional and cross-functional activities and teamwork to achieve milestones.
  • Communicate the project status to all stakeholders.
  • Able to deliver projects in a production environment.
Required Skills/Qualifications
  • Project management skills including experience with tools such as MS Project.
  • Good understanding of AS400 or related manufacturing MRP system would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Determination and perseverance to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent verbal/written and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation, contract skills and preferably a knowledge of “should cost” techniques.
  • A strong relationship builder with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Able to achieve senior management expectations whilst delivering at operational level.
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills and a tenacious attitude to delivering change.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a mechanical engineering or related discipline.
