Job Duties:

As an SEN Tutor, your primary responsibility will be to provide specialised educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This includes developing tailored lesson plans, delivering engaging and interactive lessons, monitoring progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs. You will work closely with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification
Experience working with students with SEN
Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN.

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of SEN legislation and best practises
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Strong assessment and evaluation skills
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in specific SEN areas such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD
Experience working in a school or educational setting

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time, temporary position with flexible working hours. You may be required to travel to different locations within Oxfordshire to deliver tutoring sessions. The role involves working closely with students, parents, and school staff to support the educational needs of students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
