We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our expanding team in Basildon, playing a key role in helping us grow our presence across London and the South East.

We are a leading construction contractor with a reputation for delivering quality projects across residential, commercial, and public sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and ambitious growth plans, we are seeking a Business Development Manager who can take our client engagement and market reach to the next level.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and supporting strategic growth across multiple construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and target new clients, markets, and project opportunities.

*

Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, architects, and main contractors.

*

Attend networking events, industry exhibitions, and client meetings.

*

Work closely with the Pre-Construction, Estimating, and Commercial teams to support bid submissions and tender strategies.

*

Track and manage a pipeline of leads and opportunities.

*

Produce client engagement plans and reports for senior management.

*

Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in a Business Development or Client Relationship role within the construction industry.

*

Strong network of industry contacts across relevant sectors (residential, commercial, public sector, etc.).

*

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

*

Self-motivated and target-driven, with a strategic mindset.

*

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
