About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Business Studies to join our vibrant secondary school community in Chester. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, fostering an engaging learning environment that supports all students to reach their academic and personal potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Business Studies in line with the national curriculum and exam board specifications (e.g. GCSE, A-Level, BTEC).

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support achievement and progression.

Contribute to the development and delivery of a dynamic Business Studies curriculum.

Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to raise standards and support school improvement.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subject developments, pedagogy, and assessment methods.

Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and respect.

Take part in school events, extracurricular activities, and parent engagement evenings.

Person Specification:

Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

A degree in Business Studies or a related subject.

Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Desirable:

Experience teaching A-Level or equivalent post-16 qualifications.

Familiarity with exam boards such as Edexcel, AQA, or OCR.

A passion for promoting enterprise and economic awareness among young people.
