Responsibilities of this role:
- Lead and manage complex child protection and safeguarding cases
- Provide expert assessment, analysis, and decision-making in high-risk situations
- Chair and contribute to multi-agency meetings and strategy discussions
- Mentor, supervise, and support Social Workers and Newly Qualified Social Workers
- Model best practice and ensure high standards of statutory social work
- Quality-assure assessments, plans, and reports to court and panels
- Support effective risk management and safety planning for children and families
- Provide reflective supervision and professional guidance to the team
- Support practice development and continuous improvement within the service
- Ensure practice complies with legislation, statutory guidance, and local procedures
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
