We are seeking an experienced and reliable Industrial Electrician to support a key project at our large manufacturing facility in Wigan.

The primary focus of this role is to provide rapid-response electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and breakdown support in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our automated and process machinery. This position requires a multi-skilled mindset, as you will also assist the mechanical team when needed.

This role operates on a 3-shift rotating pattern (Days, Nights, Afternoons), and applicants must be flexible to work this rotation.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
• Provide immediate electrical support and fault-finding during breakdowns to minimise plant downtime.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on PLC-controlled systems, including Allen-Bradley (AB), Siemens, Schneider, and ABB.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on process control instrumentation, including actuators, sensors, and valves.
• Work confidently with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct electrical maintenance on essential plant equipment, such as conveyors, 3-phase motors, gearboxes, and process pumps.
• Assist the mechanical fitting team with multi-skilled tasks as required.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Ensure all work adheres to strict health and safety standards.

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 & 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
To be successful in this role, you must have:
• Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician (time-served or equivalent qualification).
• Strong, hands-on experience in PLC fault-finding (AB, Siemens, Schneider, ABB).
• Demonstrable knowledge of process controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience working with industrial machinery such as conveyors, motors, and pumps.
• A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to working the DNA shift rotation is essential
