Senior Claims Adjuster - Energy

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and well-known brand in the Lloyd's insurance market.
The successful candidate will proactively adjust complex Energy claims from initial notification to settlement, as well as acting as a subject matter expert for the portfolio, and working collaboratively with the Underwriting and Actuarial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of the claims within your designated portfolio, with a primary focus on Energy & Renewables.
- Proactively adjust claims within their claims authority and in accordance with the company's claims manual, ensuring and delivering the very highest service to all customers.
- Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with the Underwriters and Actuaries.
- Ensuring that delegated claims are managed in accordance with company claims values, with effective oversight of TPAs / service providers via regular reporting.
- Instructing and proactively working with panel lawyers, adjusters and experts to ensure the best outcomes, whilst controlling costs and reducing claims leakage.
- Providing technical advice and support to more junior members of the team.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience of handling complex Energy & Renewables claims within the London Market.
- Strong technical claims expertise, including policy coverage and liability assessment, claims negotiation skills, and claims strategy.
- Ability to understand and apply legal, regulatory and territorial issues relating to policy wordings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
