I'm currently working with a market leading, FMCG manufacturer in Blackburn that's experiencing sustained growth and investing heavily in its people and processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased) to become part of a collaborative and ambitious engineering team.
?? Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - rotating days and nights (12-hour shifts: 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)? Bonus: No Saturday night shifts + shorter Saturday day shifts (8 hours) = more weekend time off!
What You'll Be Doing - Minimise machinery downtime and ensure preventative maintenance is carried out effectively.
- Work closely with Production and Engineering leadership to maintain operational efficiency.
- Perform PPMs and reactive maintenance across a range of food processing equipment.
- Record and analyse faults to support continuous improvement.
- Support parts supply and inventory management.
- Champion health & safety and building maintenance initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
What We're Looking For - Strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills, ideally within a food/FMCG environment.
- Experience with PLC fault finding and CMMS systems.
- Engineering qualifications (e.g. BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering).
- Ideally IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certified.
- Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, GMP, and internal H&S audits.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
