THE ROLE - 1:1 Teaching Assistant

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a Year 3 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a mainstream primary setting. You will be expected to act as a positive role model, building a strong and trusting relationship with the child to support both their emotional development and engagement in learning.Alongside providing 1:1 support, you will also deliver targeted interventions and support other pupils within the classroom when required. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and implement strategies to support the pupil effectively. Experience working with children with SEMH and strong behaviour management skills are essential for this role.
