Jackson Hogg are delighted to be exclusively partnering with our well established client in the Washington/Sunderland area who due to continued growth and investment are looking to add a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to their team.

This is a day shift position, with excellent training and development opportunites. A clean, safety first environment to work in and a fantastic team and company culture.

The business has invested substantially in new equipment so there will be a diversity of new projects to be a part of.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance

* Diagnose and repair breakdowns on CNC routers, edgebanders, saws, drills, wood burners, woodchippers, and dust extraction systems.

* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.

* Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery.

* Ensure compliance with health & safety standards.

* Keep accurate maintenance and service records.

Skills Required

* Ideally you will have expreience in the woodworking industry or similar

* Time-served Engineer

* 18th edition

* Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

* PLC fault finding experience (advantageous but not essential).

* Flexible to provide cover out of hours when needed.

* Full UK driving license. This role will occasionally need to support other sites in Newcastle. (Company transport provided)
