Job Summary

We’re looking for a Accounts Senior in Stirling to manage accounts preparation and business advisory work across a diverse client portfolio. This role is ideal for a qualified or near-qualified AAT, CA, ACCA professional, or someone with strong public practice experience.

You will take ownership of client accounts from start to finish, prepare draft accounts, assist with business and personal tax computations, and liaise directly with clients to provide professional, high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Manage allocated business advisory and accounts work in line with firm policies and procedures
• Prepare draft accounts, review points, and finalise accounts for clients
• Assist in preparation of business and personal tax computations, ensuring standards are met
• Coordinate tax and business line work with managers and relationship teams
• Build effective relationships with client staff during on-site engagements
• Monitor budgeted versus actual time, flag issues, and ensure timely completion of accounts
• Keep managers and clients informed of progress and issues while maintaining confidentiality
• Complete all accounts files and required documentation accurately and on time
• Identify additional opportunities to support clients and add value

About You

• Background in public practice accounting
• Qualified or near to completing AAT, CA, ACCA, or equivalent
• Strong IT skills with experience in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks
• Good working knowledge of clients’ accounting systems
• Tax experience is advantageous
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Proactive, client-focused, and detail-oriented
