Siamo Recruitment have teamed up with a thriving and ambitious manufacturing company, based in Swindon. There looking for a skilled production operative to join their team and have a chance to work with cutting-edge equipment in a supportive environment, where quality and safety come first.
 
As a production operative you step into a hands-on role where you will operate precision laser machines to cut bespoke products and directly contribute to the craftsmanship that their customers expect.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established business where full training will be provided. Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate.
 
Salary: £15.37 per hour
Hours: Late Shifts, Monday- Thursday 15:00pm- 00:30am & early finish on Friday's!

The Production Operative role will have the following responsibilities:

Operation of specialist laser cutting machines to manufacture high quality products.
Follow quality monitoring processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards are met and provide feedback to the supervisors when required.
Ensure the correct packaging is being used, and in excellent condition.
Scan all jobs onto the ERP system in real time to ensure up to date information on all production processes.
Prioritise health and safety in all areas of operation, ensuring adherence to all risk assessments, safe systems of work and training. PPE to be worn whenever required.
Display excellent levels of teamwork and co-operation when working with colleagues in other departments / other areas of production.
Maintain log sheets of filter change activity and gas changeovers.
Always maintain a clean and tidy work environment, ensuring high levels of housekeeping and suggesting improvements wherever possible.
Follow all required protocols when operating the lasers, such as start-up and shut- down procedures and accurately ID stamping all finished products.
Maintain stocks of bags and inserts and ensure that correct specifications of both are used for each product.
Participate in and ensure complete accuracy of periodic stock takes whenever required.
Machine maintenance, cleaning, trouble shooting and fault finding, working in conjunction with technical department when required. 
The ideal candidate will have the following skillset:

Previous production experience is essential.
Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
Good communication skills.
Good teamwork skills.
Ability to confidently use computers and software
