Learning Support Assistant - SEND Education

We are currently looking for Learning Support Assistants who are dedicated and passionate about supporting children in a school-based environment. Our school caters for children and young adults from 5-18 years old with varied SEND needs, such as Autism, SEMH, Severe learning difficulties and Speech and language communication difficulties.

Your role as a Learning Support Assistant will be to support pupils on a 1:1 or group basis with their learning development and care needs while at school. You will need a can do attitude aand be abale to support children to progess positively in there learning. These children require high levels of support and so Timeplan need a strong LSA to work with these children.

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience supporting young children with learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Experience or willingness to assist with personal care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 1-6 months
  • Available for day to day work
