Safeguarding and Family Support 
Salary: £42,262 - £47,460  (including local weighting & market supplement) Per Annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

As a social worker within our Assessment & Intervention Service, what we call the front door, you will be responsible for undertaking social work on allocated cases and producing outcome-based plans that reflect the needs of and risks to children and their families. You will develop effective relationships with children, young people and their families to improve the impact of work and determine the level of service available.

We are looking for candidates whose CVs reflect but are not limited to the following experience/knowledge:

Completing assessments of the needs of children and their families
Knowledge and ability of multiagency working
Ability to explore and assess risk
Drawing up plans of intervention in the lives of children and their families
Knowledge of family network meetings/family group conferences to draw up family support plan
Knowledge of the Children's Act; particularly sections 17 and 47
Presenting cases in multiagency meetings/settings
Writing professional reports
Ability to work collaboratively with families
Court work experience is an added advantage
Ability to effectively communicate with children and actively involve them in the assessment of their needs
